The Specialist Electrical Engineer will take a leading role in the design and delivery of complex electrical engineering systems for data center projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a consultancy design firm and at least 2 years of hands-on experience working specifically on data center projects. The role demands a proactive, technically sound, and detail-oriented professional who can coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and deliver innovative, reliable solutions.
what will be your responsibilities?
- Lead the design and development of electrical systems (LV, MV, HV) for data centers, ensuring compliance with international and local standards.
- Produce engineering designs, calculations, and technical specifications using industry-standard software.
- Oversee and review the preparation of electrical drawings and documentation.
- Liaise with clients, architects, and other design consultants to develop coordinated solutions.
- Participate in technical and project meetings with clients and stakeholders.
- Provide site support during construction stages, including inspections and issue resolution.
- Ensure that designs meet performance, sustainability, reliability, and safety requirements of mission-critical infrastructure. Support the mentoring and technical development of junior engineers and technicians.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring high-quality output.
- Uphold QA, Health & Safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
this is the profile we are looking for
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a consultancy design firm is mandatory.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in data center electrical systems design.
- Working knowledge of local and international electrical codes and standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, TIA-942, ASHRAE, etc.).
- Experience with design tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, Amtech, or similar.
- Strong understanding of data center electrical infrastructure including power distribution, redundancy, UPS systems, generators, grounding, and lighting.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).
- Ability to work independently and lead coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
