Fuse Energy, founded in 2022 by former Revolut executives, is building what it describes as the world's first vertically integrated renewable energy company. The firm combines energy generation, real-time power trading, and consumer-facing products designed to reward users for intelligent energy consumption. It has raised $100 million in funding to pursue its stated mission of delivering a terawatt of renewable energy.
The company's technical operations span several domains relevant to modern energy infrastructure, including renewable energy generation, real-time power trading, decentralised platform development, and smart grid management. Its consumer energy products aim to cut out intermediaries in direct-to-consumer energy sales, claiming to deliver energy at costs 30% lower than traditional suppliers.
A key component of Fuse Energy's strategy is its Energy Network, a decentralised platform of smart devices that incentivises users with Energy Dollars for electrifying their homes, shifting energy usage to off-peak hours, and contributing to grid balancing. This approach ties together consumer engagement with grid-level energy management, positioning the company at the intersection of renewable generation and demand-side optimisation.
