Gesa Credit Union is a member-owned, not-for-profit financial institution founded in 1953. Based in Washington state, it operates 28 branch locations, including 18 in Eastern Washington, and serves more than 300,000 members. It is the second largest credit union in the state.
The credit union offers consumer banking solutions - personal checking and savings accounts, vehicle loans, and credit cards - as well as mortgage and commercial banking services. Its operations span the Pacific Northwest, with a primary presence in Washington state.
As a cooperative, Gesa operates under a guiding principle of "people helping people" and pursues community-oriented initiatives. These include Gesa University, a financial literacy program for students; youth accounts and high school credit unions providing financial experience for young people; and the Local Heroes Grant Program, which supports healthcare workers, firefighters, teachers, law enforcement, and veterans.
