The project is currently day work, and the team says it will remain day work for the foreseeable future. However, occasionally resources may be asked to work a night shift.
The Installer will perform all basic and intermediate installation work activities in central office environments. The Installer will be coached and mentored as needed.
Skills/General Duties:
The Installer must clearly understand the installation and decommissioning of data center equipment.
This includes: Labeling - create and apply accurate labels to cables and equipment; installing various types of cables (including fiber optic and copper) while adhering to industry standards and color codes; terminating RJ45 connectors on cables (to ensure reliable network connections); and working with power distribution units (PDUs), fiber optic cables, copper cables, and patch panels to ensure optimal network performance (preferred skill).
Decom, removals Resources must be reliable, hard working, quality focused, and have reliable transportation. Resources open to future travel would be ideal, but we will consider those willing to work only locally. The installers should have their own basic hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers). Client will provide power tools. Client recommends that resources wear work boots because the team is working with heavy equipment.
