Volta

Volta builds vertically integrated gigascale AI factory campuses on NVIDIA's DSX and Vera Rubin platforms, with over 1GW contracted power and a pipeline exceeding 100,000 GPUs.

Volta is a fully vertically integrated AI infrastructure platform that combines institutional capital, powered land, data centers, compute, software and operations within a single founder-led enterprise. The company develops gigascale AI factory campuses built on NVIDIA's DSX platform and Vera Rubin systems, intended to deliver compute at the dependability and scale of traditional utilities. Its pipeline exceeds 100,000 GPUs, and it holds contracted power capacity of more than 1GW.

Volta's AI Infrastructure Program is backed by institutional investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Altimeter, NVIDIA and Azora, with $5 billion committed to fund the buildout of AI infrastructure. A strategic partnership for a Norway AI factory carries a value of $10 billion. The company operates from offices in London, Palo Alto and New York, with projects including operations in Norway.

The enterprise was founded by CEO Ricard Boada and Chief Corporate Development Officer Sofia Gumuzio, and emerged from stealth mode with a stated mission to make compute available to every organization that needs it. Its technical work spans AI infrastructure, data center development, GPU compute infrastructure, AI software operations, capital markets, infrastructure development and AI engineering.
