The Building Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and repair of building systems and equipment. This role ensures the facility is operating safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable regulations while providing a high level of service to tenants and stakeholders.

Pay: $38.00 - $40.00/hour.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
    • Monitor and maintain building automation systems (BAS/BMS)
    • Conduct regular inspections of facility systems and identify potential issues
    • Respond to service requests and troubleshoot equipment problems in a timely manner
    • Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and company policies
    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs
    • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance
    • Support energy efficiency initiatives and sustainability efforts
    • Assist with emergency response and after-hours issues as needed
    • Maintain clean, organized, and safe mechanical and work areas

Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school preferred
    • 3+ years of experience in building maintenance or engineering role
    • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
    • Experience with building automation systems preferred
    • Relevant certifications (EPA, HVAC, or Journeyman license) a plus
