Construction Manager at atNorth

Due to our continued growth, we are looking for a skilled and driven Construction Manager to join our Development team.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering reliable and compliant construction management support, enabling successful project execution and ensuring a smooth transition from construction to operations. You will oversee construction activities throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and in accordance with atNorth’s quality standards.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the development of critical digital infrastructure projects across the Nordics.

Key responsibilities:

  • Ensure all construction activities comply with local regulations, safety requirements, and atNorth standards.

  • Oversee construction activities from planning through project completion and handover to Operations.

  • Manage and coordinate General Contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel on a daily basis.

  • Monitor installation quality and ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and design documentation.

  • Coordinate closely with Design, Security, Operations, Commissioning, and Project Management teams.

  • Develop, maintain, and track project schedules together with project stakeholders and the project scheduler.

  • Lead weekly progress meetings and ensure alignment on project milestones and deliverables.

  • Support procurement activities and ensure timely delivery of owner-furnished equipment (OFCI).

  • Monitor site progress, contractor performance, productivity, and resource utilization.

  • Ensure all safety requirements are adhered to and that observations, incidents, and corrective actions are appropriately reported and managed.

  • Ensure commissioning activities are executed in accordance with atNorth commissioning plans and quality standards.

  • Identify, assess, and escalate project risks, technical issues, deviations, and non-conformities to support timely resolution.

Your profile:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Construction Management.

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • Experience managing contractors and construction activities within complex construction projects.

  • Experience from data centers, industrial facilities, energy projects, or other critical infrastructure environments is highly beneficial.

  • Good understanding of construction scheduling, quality management, commissioning, health and safety, and contractor management.

  • Broad knowledge of Electrical, Mechanical, and CSA systems is considered an advantage.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
