Project Procurement Manager at atNorth
You will play a pivotal role in the expansion of atNorth’s Nordic footprint. As Project Procurement Manager, you will act as the commercial backbone of our Finnish operations, transforming high-value tenders into the critical infrastructure that powers our future.
You will lead the full procurement lifecycle, from needs analysis to final negotiation, securing the partnerships and agreements essential to our success.
Based in Finland, you report to the Country Delivery Director with a dotted line to the Director of Procurement.
Key responsibilities:
Lead multiple end-to-end RFQ/RFP processes for construction packages.
Prepare and issue documentation, manage clarifications, and evaluate bids.
Conduct contract negotiations with General Contractors and key suppliers.
Ensure compliance with local law, company polices, procedures etc. throughout the procurement process.
Ensure all contractors and projects have the correct insurance coverage.
Site-Visits around Finland, with vendor and with internal stakeholders.
Support pre-construction activities including land development, demolition planning, and site preparation.
Provide regular updates to sourcing, engineering, and construction teams.
Support Cost Management team with COQ and BOQ for RFQ´s.
Support central procurement with development of standardized templates for RFQ/RFP, contract management, reporting etc.
Support central procurement with the implementation of workflows and checklists for procurement and project execution.
Your profile:
You are a seasoned procurement professional with deep experience in the data center, construction, infrastructure, or technology sectors.
Combining analytical sharpness with a service-oriented mindset, you excel at complex negotiations and stakeholder management.
You are equally comfortable driving day-to-day operations and contributing to long-term strategic planning.
Background:
Degree in Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Law or a related field (Master’s preferred).
7+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, within construction or datacenter environments.
Strong knowledge of Finnish construction standards and legal frameworks. Further knowledge of FIDIC as well as RIBA standards is a strong advantage.
Strong negotiation skills with proven experience in contract negotiation with General Contractors.
Excellent analytical abilities, with confidence in data interpretation and decision-making.
Clear communication and collaboration skills, both internally and externally. Fluent in English and Finnish. (Contract is done in English but exhibits and documents are often produced in local Finnish, meetings and communications in email/teams is in English- and/or Finnish).
Skilled in creating templates, workflows, and documentation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and project management tools.
