Job Title: Operations Design & Development Manager

Salary Range: €60,000 to €75,000

Join a fast-growing data centre business supporting major clients across Germany and Europe.
This is a great opportunity for a technically strong engineer who wants to develop their career in data centre design and infrastructure solutions. You’ll work as part of an experienced team, supporting the design and delivery of high-performance data centre environments backed by a €2.5bn investment programme over the next three years.
You’ll contribute to the design of critical infrastructure including power, cooling, and white space layouts, helping to ensure solutions are efficient, reliable, and aligned to client requirements.
Ideally you will be based in the Stuttgart area but strong candidates from other parts of Germany will be considered.
What you’ll do
Working alongside senior design and commercial teams, you’ll support projects from pre-sales through to deployment.
You will:
Assist in gathering and understanding client technical requirements
Contribute to the design of power, cooling, and space optimisation solutions
Support the development of technical documentation and solution proposals
Work closely with engineering, construction, and commercial teams to ensure designs are practical and deliverable
Help ensure solutions meet performance, efficiency, and reliability standards
You’ll play an important role in bridging technical and commercial discussions, while continuing to build your expertise in data centre environments.
What you’ll need
Fluent German and a good level of English for working with clients and international teams
Experience supporting or delivering data centre or critical infrastructure solutions
A background in mechanical, electrical, or building services engineering
A solid understanding of power and cooling systems (UPS, HVAC, redundancy principles, etc.)
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn from senior colleagues
