Your Role:
As a Lead Engineer (m/f/d), you are responsible for the day-to-day operations of our data center site, ensuring safe, reliable performance in line with SLAs and industry standards. You act as the main on-site contact, leading the engineering team and coordinating vendors and maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily site operations and ensure safe system-of-work compliance
- Manage planned & reactive maintenance using CMMS tools
- Act as first escalation point for technical issues and incidents
- Oversee contractors and ensure compliance with permits and procedures
- Take ownership of incident management, reporting, and root cause analysis
- Act as HV Authorized Person (AP), including switching operations
- Monitor BMS and ensure system performance and uptime
- Lead and support Site Engineers, including resource planning
- Drive operational excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement
Your Profile:
- 3–5 years’ experience in data centers or mission-critical M&E environments
- Strong knowledge of electrical & mechanical infrastructure (UPS, generators, cooling)
- Formal electrical qualification + HV AP certification (AP15)
- Experience with CMMS systems; ITIL/ServiceNow is a plus
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Structured, reliable, and customer-focused
- Fluent in English and German
