Job Summary:

The Structured Cabling/Low Voltage Lead Technicianplays a key role inonsite project coordinationwithincommercial construction environments.

Reporting to the Project Foreman and Project Manager, this role ensuresstructured cabling projectsstay on track by managing daily tasks, supervising crews, and meeting project goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise assigned projects, directing the work of5+techniciansand ensuring daily goals are met.
• Plan site manpower needs andmanagematerial and labor through job completion.
• Set crew objectives, track progress, and report updates to management.
• Ensure compliance withHR, safety, and company policieswhile meeting project deadlines.
• Maintain technical, quality, and profitability standards, ensuring top-level customer satisfaction.
• Oversee account coordination, including direct customer interaction and issue resolution.
• Prepare and communicatestatus reports, keeping customers and Project Managers informed.

Minimum Requirements

• Expertise in cabling standardswith the ability tolead projects, delegate tasks, and supervise teams of 5+ technicians.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprintsand managing all aspects ofproject planning.
• Strong communication skills (&verbal) with a focus onaccurate timesheet management andefficiency.
• Terminatejacks, patch panels, 66/110 blocks, and follow568A/B color codes.
• UseFluke testersto verify connections and troubleshoot voice/data issues.
• Install and configureswitches, routers, modems, and wireless access points.
• Work withcategory cable, COAX, fiber (RG6, RG11, RG59), build out closets, and operateHilti guns, hammer drills, band saws, and power tools.
• Ability to lift/carry/setup a50 poundbox or ladder.
• Must ownlow voltage tools (strippers, screwdrivers, wrenches)
• Able to work2nd/3rd shift, overtime, and under pressure.
• Must pass a7-year background check, drug screen, and physical.
• Requires valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance
• Professional working proficiency in English

Preferred Certifications (not required)

• BICSI Technician or Installation Certification
• OSHA 10
• Powder Actuated Tools Certification
• Confined Space Certification

• CPR and First Aid certified
• Manufacturers certifications for Installation and Maintenance
• Lift Certified
• High School diploma,Associate’sdegree or technical degree a plus

Pay Rate:

$24.00 - $35.00/hr
