Megawatt Construction, Inc. has worked with property owners, developers, and tenants to provide turnkey contracting services including project management services. MWC can manage all phases of a project including the design and coordination, permitting, submittals and RFI management, ensuring a successful project start. MWC can continue to provide construction and project management services through the construction phase of the project, ensuring the project is staying on or ahead of schedule while staying on or under budget without sacrificing quality.

Quality Assurance/Quality Control Commissioning Manager:

The QA/QC Cx Manager is focused on providing technical work products of a high quality to the client including items such as on-site representation, documentation, cost control, and time management. Responsible for managing a project’s technical effort for the client including leadership of the project team and coordinating work with the various project entities to meet deadlines and budgets.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Be highly knowledgeable and proficient in all aspects of data center construction including Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Controls, Fire life safety

  • Develop a comprehensive working knowledge and understanding of the contract documents (including Megawatt's contract, plans, specifications, and applicable codes)

  • Develop and execute a project-specific QA/QC Plan for Megawatt projects

  • Execute the project-specific QA/QC Plan in a manner that engages all project staff, subcontractors, vendors and consultants

  • Expand the development of the Plan as the project progresses as appropriate to expand the program by continually improving procedures

  • Collaborate with Design/engineering to validate the design and Basis of Design are in alignment

  • Review key submittals for accuracy and compliance with design

  • Establish and maintain working relationships with owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors and vendors to ensure that the project-specific QA/QC Plan delivers a fully compliant project

  • Work cross functionally across all Megawatt departments and projects to ensure Lessons Learned are communicated

  • Review and oversee subcontractors QA/QC Plans on all Megawatt Projects, traveling to work sites across United States for in person audits and trainings

  • Attend Factory witness tests/Factory acceptance tests as required

  • Ensure strict adherence to ethics and compliance requirements at all times

  • Understand the project execution plan and coordinate Quality Control procedures at appropriate stages of the work and in line with the project schedule

  • Continually improve strategies and tools to efficiently and effectively document, track and record compliance with the contract documents

  • Research and apply additional Quality Control and Lean procedures to enhance the quality of project delivery

  • Conduct testing and inspections and arrange for third-party testing and inspections, analyze and report the results

  • Oversight of the development of punch lists

  • Oversight of project close-out and quality reports

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Managment or related field with 5+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience and construction experience that bridges both field and engineering responsibilities

  • Knowledge of the construction process, means and methods, and materials, their characteristics, installation procedures and tolerances

  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite. Very strong verbal and written communication skills are required
