Electrical QA/QC Data Center Inspector
$40–$50/hr DOE + Per Diem | Nationwide Travel (~95%) | Base: GA | Direct Hire
We are seeking an experienced Electrical QA/QC Data Center Inspector to support mission-critical construction projects across the U.S. This role is responsible for ensuring electrical installations meet strict quality, safety, and compliance standards in high-performance data center environments.
Key Responsibilities
Perform QA/QC inspections on electrical systems including:
- Medium- and low-voltage switchgear
- UPS systems, PDUs, generators, and transformers
- Cable tray, conduit, and grounding systems
Verify compliance with:
- Project drawings and specifications
- NEC and applicable electrical codes
- Client commissioning standards
Additional responsibilities:
- Review and track submittals, RFIs, and as-built documentation
- Witness and document electrical testing, including:
- Megger (insulation resistance) testing
- Torque verification
- Pre-functional and functional testing
- Identify deficiencies and ensure timely corrective actions
- Maintain detailed QA/QC reports, logs, and inspection records
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and commissioning teams
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in electrical QA/QC or field inspection
- Strong preference for data center / mission-critical experience (required)
- Solid understanding of electrical distribution systems and NEC
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Strong documentation and communication skills
Preferred Certifications
- NICET (Electrical)
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
- NFPA 70E
