Job Overview

Supports the development and execution of commodity strategy for the procurement team and drives the leading indicators like savings pipeline.

Job Requirements

1.    Sourcing & Procurement Execution

•    Manage the end-to-end sourcing process for jigs and fixtures across the entire manufacturing process, including molding, stamping, plating, assembly, testing, etc.
•    Execute RFQ, quotation analysis, cost breakdown, negotiation, and PO placement
•    Ensure on-time delivery to support production and project milestones

2.    Scope & Coverage

•    Responsible for sourcing activities for Guangdong and Zhuhai plants

3.    Supplier Development & Management

•    Develop and qualify suppliers for jigs and fixtures, with strong capabilities in machining and tooling design
•    Build and maintain a competitive and sustainable supplier base
•    Monitor and continuously improve supplier performance in Cost, Quality, and Delivery (CQD)

4.    Cost Management & Optimization

•    Drive cost reduction through competitive bidding and resourcing strategies
•    Analyze cost drivers including materials, machining processes, and manufacturing methods to identify saving opportunities
•    Support cost optimization for repeat buys and standard parts sourcing

5.    Cross-functional Collaboration

•    Collaborate closely with Engineering (ME/PE/MPDE), Quality, and Operations teams
•    Understand drawings, BOM, and machining processes to support sourcing decisions
•    Participate in supplier technical evaluation and capability assessments

6.    Project & NPI Support

•    Support sourcing activities for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects
•    Track sourcing progress to ensure alignment with project timelines and ramp-up plans
•    Handle urgent requirements and mitigate production-related supply risks

7.    Process Compliance

•    Follow company procurement policies and Source-to-Pay (S2P) processes
•    Support supplier onboarding, contract management, and audits
•    Maintain accurate and up-to-date data in ERP/SAP systems

8.    Business Impact & Targets

•    Annual purchasing volume: ~$3M USD (~4,500 POs)
•    Hard saving target: >4% annually
•    Drive long-tail spend consolidation, shifting low-value/high-volume transactions to non-touch or automation channels
•    Work with category managers to identify synergies and drive additional savings
•    Provide flexible support to other BUs/plants in China as needed
 
Key Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge

•    Full time bachelor’s degree, engineering preferred
•    Have sourcing experience with solid knowledge of sourcing process and SAP, better having experience for multiple plants 
•    Minimum 5-year working experience in procurement or engineering area
•    Good interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work in matrix environment
•    Direct/indirect candidates are both fine, equipment/engineering/tooling sourcing experience would be plus 
•    Customer focus and continuous improvement attitude
•    Candidates should be clear about his/her career interest to match this role

What your background should look like

Generally requires Bachelors degree in appropriate field with a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible professional level experience; Masters degree or higher or local equivalent may be preferred at this level
