Unifique

Unifique is a Southern Brazilian fiber optic telecommunications operator offering Tier III data center, cloud, cybersecurity, broadband, and 5G mobile services across 71 cities.

Unifique operates Tier III certified data center services alongside cloud and cybersecurity offerings, as part of a broader telecommunications business that it has built since 1997. Founded in Timbó, Santa Catarina, as a local dial-up provider (TPA - Timbó Provedor de Acesso) with a single employee, the company is now the largest independent fiber optic operator in Southern Brazil. It went public on the stock exchange in 2021.

The infrastructure underpinning those services is substantial. Unifique has installed more than 38,500 km of optical fiber across southern Brazil, with commercial operations in 71 cities in Santa Catarina and Rio Grande do Sul reaching over 1.7 million people. The company was the first in Brazil to deploy XGS-PON fiber access technology, in 2021, and sells fixed broadband at speeds up to 2 Gbps. It also runs 5G mobile networks, having secured spectrum in Anatel's 5G auction, with coverage beginning in November 2023.

As of June 2025, Unifique reported more than 816,000 broadband customers and 170,000 mobile customers. Its portfolio also spans fixed telephony, pay TV, telemedicine, smart home technology, and financial investment services. The company's fixed telephony has been rated the best in Brazil by Anatel for five consecutive years, and its fixed broadband the best in southern Brazil for six.
