About the Role
Vertiv is hiring a Commissioning Electrical Tester to support testing, verification, and commissioning activities for electrical systems and equipment across projects throughout EMEA.
In this role, you will ensure the safety, quality, and functionality of electrical systems through detailed testing and analysis. You will work closely with engineers, technicians, and project stakeholders to identify issues, support commissioning activities, and ensure compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
This position is ideal for a hands-on professional who enjoys technical fieldwork, problem-solving, and international project exposure.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Perform various tests on electrical systems, components, and equipment to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. This includes testing for voltage, current, resistance, insulation resistance, and continuity.
- Identify and troubleshoot electrical issues and malfunctions in equipment and systems.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to pinpoint problems accurately.
- Interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical specifications to understand testing requirements and procedures.
- Record test results, observations, and any deviations from specifications accurately.
- Maintain detailed documentation of testing procedures, results, and equipment maintenance..
- Prepare clear and concise reports summarizing test findings, including any deviations from standards and recommended corrective actions.
- Coordinate with engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders to communicate test results, discuss findings, and collaborate on resolving issues.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and technically capable individual who can work independently while supporting cross-functional teams. You should have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required. Additional vocational training or certification in electrical testing is preferred.
- 1 year of previous experience in electrical testing or a related field is advantageous. Familiarity with testing equipment and procedures is desirable.
- Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment such as manifold gauges, anemometers, and refrigerant leak detectors.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in conducting tests and documenting results.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Willingness to travel (50-60%)
Work Environment
This position combines office/factory-based work in Zagreb with frequent travel to customer sites across the EMEA region. You will work in dynamic industrial and technical environments, requiring adaptability, professionalism, and strict adherence to safety standards.
