Brief Job Description:
The Laboratory Leader:
- Reporting to the product Validation and Advance engineering manager, and dotted line to the Laboratory Manager based in Tognana, he coordinates day-to-day operations during lab testing and helps achieve product development project goals, while elevating the laboratory to a new level of performance and proficiency.
Responsibilities and Measurement Criteria with Time investment Needed on Each:

- Validation of HVAC components and system models with data laboratory tests. Establish methodologies and equipment for thermal performance characterization of cooling components and systems. Conduct testing under a variety of use conditions to determine whether they meet customer/field expectations.
- Processing and analysis of laboratory test data for model development.
- Adjusts units and measuring devices as needed based on own judgment and test results.
- Defines tests, sets up test equipment and instruments.
- Designs and implements laboratory improvements.
- Works with mechanical, electrical, process and manufacturing teams.
- Performs engineering calculations and solves problems requiring creativity.
- Keeps documentation related to the laboratory.
- Project documentation and progress presentation to the senior management
Qualifications:
Required/ Minimum Qualifications:
- University degree - Electrical engineering.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience on commercial / industrial HVAC products and components.
Additional / Preferred Qualifications: -
- Basic knowledge of Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanics.
- Basic programming knowledge.
- Industrial protocol communication (Modbus, CAN)
- Experience with the deployment of PLC systems, serial communication.
- Ethernet protocol connection (network switch management)
- Office software literate, including MS Excel.
- Nice to have. Fluent speaking, reading, and writing in English language.
- Nice to have: good knowledge of IT Cooling products.
- Nice to have: European/worldwide regulation requirement on HVAC Industry.
- Nice to have: Worker Safety Training:
- Training dedicated for high risk works.
- Training CEI.
- Decree 508/2009, min. §22, necessary increase to §23.
- Certificate for all activities on equipment with halogenated refrigerant, Category I, advantage - must be obtained within 10 months.

Time Travel Needed:
- 20% for customer visit / problem solving. Staff meeting. Suppliers visit and exhibitions.
