The company's core technical capability is its proprietary VULSORB® adsorption technology, a form of direct lithium extraction (DLE). This process extracts lithium from geothermal brines using naturally heated geothermal energy, producing battery-quality lithium hydroxide monohydrate while simultaneously generating renewable electricity and heat. This integrated approach positions Vulcan as one of the lowest-cost lithium producers globally.

Its flagship initiative, the Lionheart Project, is designed as a lighthouse for European energy and critical raw material resilience. The company's stated mission is to support the decarbonisation of the European battery supply chain and contribute to the EU's net zero emissions target by 2050. Vulcan is listed on both the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) and the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (FSE).
